Jingyi Li

Hello, my name is Li Jingyi. During my studies at GMD, I primarily explored 3D modeling, video production, brand design, and typography. These three projects—my graduation project and a previous PI project—demonstrated my interest in modeling animation, branding, and some AR technologies. Looking to the future, I also hope to develop in the field of new technologies and use various media technologies to express my design thinking.

Hyper-Type

This project is an event planning project about hypertype, encompassing online and offline activities, including designs for Instagram, posters, and websites. These designs center around two 3D model scenes, from which various promotional materials are derived. The scene depicts the evolution of typefaces, using city construction to evoke a futuristic feel, with the city's letter models composed of Letterpress wooden blocks. From wooden block engraving to 3D modeling, it showcases the technological development of typefaces from ancient times to the present.

This is a digital poster that simulates the effect of naked-eye 3D. At first glance, it looks like a static poster, but it actually showcases several aspects of 3D architecture.

This is an invitation to the private view. I used screen printing, UV printing, and finally added glitter.

Interception

This project is about the sustainability of the school's art shop. We researched areas where the art shop could be improved, then used modeling to demonstrate the usage of these systems. We produced a promotional video for online promotion, as well as a website where you can learn how to use each part. We also promoted it offline through AR postcards and created a presentation.

P&I music album design

This project involves designing a music album, specifically a reinterpretation of the song "Love Story." In this design, I experimented with using modeling and AR to create interactive album art and related merchandise, allowing for better interaction with the audience.
