Hyper Type

Hyper Type examines the continuous dialogue between historical typography and emerging technologies. Anchored by the concept of the palimpsest, this visual investigation traces fifteen classic typefaces across four eras, unfolding a rich and layered accumulation of design history.

Stepping away from the digital screen, the visual language turns to physical experimentation. Photogram techniques capture a tangible intersection of translucent letterforms. Light dictates form. As exposures overlap, individual characters shed their definitive borders and bleed into an atmospheric, dense landscape. Centuries of typographic evolution collide, coexisting suspended in a single frame.

Wait

Wait translates the abstract concept of waiting into a tangible substance, borrowing the mechanics of darkroom photography where time directly dictates tonality. As the psychological weight of delay increases, a progressive grey palette steadily darkens. This elongation of time embeds itself seamlessly into the physical anatomy of the medium through distinct structural phases. With each advancing chapter, a deepening hue is met with a simultaneous increase in paper weight. Navigation transcends traditional reading to become a deliberate physical practice of patience. The invisible passage of time finally settles into a measurable weight held within the hands.

Order Disorder

This study captures the boundary between digital control and natural chaos. Regular typographic grids meet the unpredictable force of relief printing. Mathematical exactness slowly dissolves under the weight of the press. Ink bleeds. Forms shift. Within this space, digital logic and physical touch settle into a quiet balance. As the rigid framework gives way, organic textures naturally surface. The demand for flawlessness fades. The composition embraces its physical reality, existing in a natural coexistence with analogue imperfections.
