Gargoyle is a short film developed for installation, filmed at the 2025 Lincoln Grand Prix following TEKKERZ Racing, one of the UK’s leading domestic teams. As Britain’s biggest one-day race, Lincoln provided a setting that felt intense, chaotic, and emotionally charged.
The project centres around Alec Briggs, a rider more closely associated with criterium racing than traditional road racing. Rather than documenting the race straightforwardly, the film focuses on the feeling around it – the nerves, tension, and release that sit on either side of competition. Through a more abstract visual language, Gargoyle explores the emotional side of bike racing and the atmosphere that surrounds performance.
Self-Directed Project.
