Mina Zheng

Hi, I’m Mina, an aspiring British-born Chinese graphic designer based in London. I love creating fun, playful work and am always looking for new ways to learn, experiment, and grow creatively. Currently, I work across photography, illustration (mainly pixel art style), and creative coding. I also enjoy collaborating with others and love meeting new people, as I’m always inspired by different perspectives and creative approaches.

Taste Profile

Taste Profile is a self-directed interactive generator created with p5.js that produces a pixel-art-style visual based on the user’s choices, such as fashion style, colour palette, flavour preferences, favourite season, and dining preferences. It also features a camera function that allows users to capture moments within the experience, creating a more personal and immersive interaction similar to taking photos of outfits, food, or scenery.

Patterns in Place

I observed and collected behavioural patterns within an arcade space, translating my findings into an animated guide map illustrated in a pixel-art style and designed to resemble a retro arcade game. The project recreates the arcade’s exact interior layout and cabinet placements, while also visualising data such as machine loudness, number of players, game genres, and the approximate amount of time players spend at each game.
