Narges Mehdizadeh

Hi, I’m Narges, a multidisciplinary graphic designer with a practice centred around typography, editorial design, branding, and visual storytelling. I enjoy combining analogue and digital processes to explore materiality, cultural identity, and experimental image-making.

My work moves across publication design, visual identity, packaging, motion graphics, digital experiences, and spatial design, using research and hands-on experimentation as part of the creative process. I’m particularly interested in how typography, pattern, image, and material can communicate memory, emotion, and cultural narratives within contemporary design.

Through photography, printmaking, risograph, motion, calligraphy, and tactile processes, I aim to create work that feels both conceptually driven and visually engaging across physical and digital environments.

Hyper Type

Hyper Type is an experimental visual identity project developed for a typography focused exhibition at the Design Museum. The project explores the relationship between typography, light, shadow, and spatial form through a combination of analogue photography, motion, and digital experimentation.

Using three-dimensional typographic structures, the identity moves across posters, motion graphics, invitations, and digital applications to create an immersive and dynamic visual system that shifts between physical and digital environments.

Deep Dive / Iranian Patterns Through Time

Iranian Patterns Through Time is an editorial publication exploring the evolution of Iranian patterns from historical objects and architecture to contemporary visual systems. Through research, material experimentation, and editorial design, the project investigates how pattern can function as a form of memory, structure, and cultural storytelling.

The publication combines typography, risograph printing, photography, layering, and tactile processes to create a contemporary interpretation of Iranian visual culture across time.

Khatereh (Memory)

Khatereh (Memory) is a spatial and experiential design project inspired by the geometry and ornamentation of Naqsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan. The project explores how Iranian decorative patterns can be reinterpreted within contemporary retail and exhibition spaces through light, reflection, projection, and digital media.

Combining physical installation, motion, sound, and material experimentation, the project transforms traditional geometry into an immersive contemporary experience shaped by memory, cultural identity, and spatial interaction.
