Nayeon Park

Nayeon Park is a London-based graphic designer working across typography, editorial design, and branding. My practice is driven by research and experimentation, exploring diverse forms of visual communication and transforming ideas into engaging visual experiences. I am interested in how design can communicate information and emotion, creating work that spans both print and digital media.

This book explores the gap between what we see and what we think we see. Inspired by the experience of viewing the world without glasses, the project investigates how blurred vision alters perception, memory, and imagination. Through photography, image manipulation, and editorial design, familiar scenes are transformed into abstract visual experiences that challenge the reliability of sight. The publication invites viewers to reconsider the relationship between reality and perception, revealing how the mind reconstructs and interprets incomplete visual information.

Language as Matter: Text as Object

This exhibition explores how language can shape and transform spatial experience. Inspired by Jenny Holzer’s conceptual use of text, the project investigates the emotional impact of short phrases when placed within physical environments. Through typographic experimentation and letterpress printing, words become spatial objects that guide visitors through shifting tones and personal interpretations. The result is a quiet, immersive environment that encourages slow reading, reflection, and individual meaning-making
