Hi, I am Xinyang. My practice spans visual systems, editorial, and multimedia interaction. I approach each project through research and development, building structured yet flexible visual languages. I work with experiments, materials, and structure to shape communication and visual experience.

Patterns in Place

This project explores the idea of field of view, how space is perceived differently depending on position, movement, and time. Through repeated observation within the Barbican Centre, the project records how the same environment shifts when seen from different viewpoints across a time sequence.

The final outcome takes the form of individually bound tracing-paper booklets housed within a sleeve package. The project functions as a modular archive that invites viewers to reconstruct spatial patterns through interaction.

Seeing Through Everyday Print

Seeing Through Everyday Print is a self-directed project. It explores how ordinary printed materials can be re-observed and transformed into new visual systems. Through collecting receipts and analysing them, the project investigates typography, spacing, repetition, and printing marks as forms of hidden visual language. The final receipt roll is presented through a custom 3D-printed display model, extending the project beyond print into a more installation-based experience.
